| Greetings from the Arctic
Northeast, ladies and gentlemen! My name is Mark, and I am
a small town entrepreneur from Upstate New York. I
represent a direct marketing company that will save
millions of peoples’ lives by 2020. NSE offers personal
care, nutritional and technology-based products and
services, including pharmaceutical grade multivitamin
supplements, Internet telephones with touchscreens and
keyboards, electric bicycles and a humanitarian relief
campaign that provides assistance to malnourished
children. An ongoing project with tremendous potential is
the introduction of a laser scanner to North America.
The laser scanner was developed at a prestigious
university where the artificial heart was invented. This
portable device measures the level of antioxidant
molecules in living human tissue, and eliminates the need
for invasive and risky methods of assessing nutritional
activity such as blood and urine testing. Antioxidants
combat the negative effects of toxic molecules called free
radicals, which are generated by consumption of coffee and
alcoholic beverages, foods that have been barbecued,
broiled or fried, hydrogenated vegetable oils,
over-the-counter and prescribed medication, solar
radiation, electromagnetic fields and air pollutants such
as asbestos, benzene, carbon monoxide, chlorine,
formaldehyde, ozone, tobacco smoke and toluene. Can’t
quit smoking? Send me an E-mail and I’ll refer you to
the nearest scanner presentation. Every cigarette contains
10 quadrillion free radicals. Other sources of free
radicals include chemical solvents such as cleaning
products, glue, paints, paint thinners, perfumes and
pesticides, medical and dental X-rays, frequent airline
travel, stressful lifestyles and water pollutants such as
chloroform and other trihalomethanes caused by
chlorination. Left unchecked, the buildup of free radicals
will cause significant DNA damage at the cellular level.
Thousands of clinical studies have documented links
between antioxidant deficiency and vulnerability to lung
and prostate cancer, Alzheimer's, diabetes, macular
degeneration and cardiovascular disease. For more
information about the laser scanner, antioxidants and the
role of nutrition in preventing serious diseases, visit my
primary website, http://www.mdcybermall.com
I experienced this revolutionary scanner
technology for myself during a November 2002 business
presentation in Toronto, Canada. All I needed to do was
place the palm of my hand against the machine for thirty
seconds and “bing!”, I got a real-time measurement of
the antioxidant molecule concentration in my body. The
human immune system cannot function properly without a
sufficient amount of antioxidants such as Beta-carotene,
Alpha-carotene, Vitamins C and E, Selenium, Copper and
Zinc.
My business languished in obscurity for most of 2003. http://www.mdcybermall.com
received fewer than 3,000 unique visitors during last
year. I decided to discontinue my toll free 800 number
back in August because fewer than 25 people called and
left messages in my voice mailbox. I didn’t fly anywhere
last year. The Pharmanex nutrition company I'm involved
with had two important business conferences in February
and June 2003 and I missed both of them. Back in September
2002 this law-abiding Italian American male was subjected
to humiliating treatment by the Transportation Security
Administration at JFK International Airport; I didn’t
want to risk undergoing a similar ordeal during the code
orange terror alert five months later. Subsequently I got
a fantastic deal on a roundtrip Toronto to Salt Lake City
plane ticket but I couldn't afford the hotel
accommodations in Provo, Utah for the summer Pharmanex
Leadership Conference. The upcoming NSE International
Convention in February 2004 was a primary motivating
factor in the establishment of this donation website;
Pharmanex is a division of NSE.
I was unable to obtain even a modest
level of financial support for my business endeavors last
year and http://www.mdcybermall.com
failed to generate any revenue. Perhaps it was my stubborn
Italian pride that kept me from filing for bankruptcy. I
felt completely disconnected from the local business
community most of the time, with the exception of
attending monthly networking events. Rochester, NY is
still very much a company town, where entrepreneurs with
20 years of experience working for Kodak, Xerox or Bausch
& Lomb have access to venture capitalists and angel
investors, while people like me (small town guy who worked
for his father's consulting firm) get left out in the
cold. My father's consulting firm has been paying me a
retainer salary for almost four years, but I will never be
able to grow my nutrition business, pay bills and still
have a life on a monthly net income of less than $1,000.
http://www.mdcybermall.com
needs seed capital, but I overheard a conversation last
summer about the difficult time local startup companies
are having raising smaller amounts of money (less than $1
million) from VC's and angels. More recently, I received
an E-mail announcement regarding the Summit in Tech Valley
$100,000 Business Plan Competition, but participation in
this event is restricted to companies located in the
Albany, NY region. Just another example of the dismal
business climate that keeps the economy of North America’s
Tax Capital in a deep freeze. Rochester’s elusive
investor community will never care about my struggling
little nutrition business, so I decided to finally take
the advice of my Hollywood screenwriter friend and set up
a webpage for collecting donations. Some people may call
me a “cyber-beggar”, but given the fact that my
current debt burden exceeds fifteen thousand dollars, I
like to think of my activity as grassroots capitalism for
the new millennium. If just one thousand individuals
decide to contribute $25 towards the resurrection of my
health technology business this year, then my debts would
be completely erased and I wouldn’t undergo the
emotional ordeal of asking my father for more money. My
ultimate fundraising goal for 2004 is the contribution of
$25 from two thousand individuals who are concerned about
the future of health and wellness in North America; this
larger amount would permit me to eradicate debts, pay
myself a good salary and cut the financial umbilical cord
that still connects me to my parents. The NSE
International Convention begins on February 17, 2004 and I
couldn’t imagine a better way to start the month than to
experience a significant receipt of messages from PayPal
in my Outlook Express Inbox. Thanks for visiting this
website, and don’t forget to check out http://www.mdcybermall.com
Have a great day, and may God bless you and your family.
Bye for now.
